Cindy (Weigel) Anderson
After graduating from GHS, I attended the University of Oregon and graduated in 2004 with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. I married Dave (same guy I was dating in high school) three weeks later; and four days after we wed, we moved to Miami, Florida. We spent two years teaching high school in inner-city Miami, and during our second year of teaching, I obtained my Masters in Education as well. We then moved back to Salem, Oregon where Dave attended Willamette Law School and I taught high school English at Molalla High School. During this busy time I also began coaching all-star cheerleading at Champion Cheer Athletics (probably not too much of a shock to anyone : )). Three days before Dave’s last law school final, our daughter, Annika, was born. Dave graduated from law school, passed the bar, and began clerking at the Oregon Court of Appeals. I was blessed enough to be able to stay at home with Annika and coach a couple of evenings a week. I decided to become a fitness instructor and was able to do this a few times a week as well. 17 months later, our son, Tate, was born. We are blessed with two absolutely amazing and adorable children; God is good. Dave will finish up his clerkship this summer and begin working at a firm in Portland. We will be moving to Lake Oswego where I will continue to stay at home with Annie and Tate and hopefully find a position as a fitness instructor at a nearby gym. As a family, we love to play, hike, swim, go on walks, eat good food, explore, read, and laugh a lot.
